From her humble beginnings as a Southern maid to a Fortune 500 V.P. to bestselling, award-winning author, Deborah maintains an intense passion for the practical application of God’s word to every facet of life.
She has penned 18 traditionally published books with over two million sold worldwide in several languages. In addition to being a seasoned professional and authorpreneur, she has held executive positions in several major corporations including ten years as Vice President of MCA INC./ Universal Studios’ venture capital division, three years as Manager of Forecasting and Budgeting for Hughes Aircraft’s billion-dollar Space & Communications Division, and nine years as CFO of the famed West Angeles Cathedral under the leadership of Bishop Charles Blake. Deborah is a CPA/MBA, certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach, Bible teacher, and global speaker. She has also served as a financial consultant to several celebrities, various non-profit organizations, and emerging businesses domestically and in South Africa. She prepared the initial financial projections for the development of the wildly successful Magic Johnson Theater chain.
During 2018-2019, Deborah hosted 36 episodes of the popular TV show, Winning With Deborah, on the TBN Salsa Network. As a global speaker, she continues to deliver sage advice on relational, financial, and emotional freedom to secular and religious audiences. She is in great demand to share her expertise in healing the racial divide in the U.S. She has also conducted training in secular and non-secular organizations on achieving organizational unity and resolving interpersonal conflicts via effective confrontations. Her financial and relational advice has appeared in major media including Essence, Charisma, Redbook, and other national publications. Deborah’s community involvement has included serving on the Board of Directors of the billion-dollar Evangelical Christian Credit Union (ECCU), World Vision USA, the Christian Women in Media Association, and the National Association of Evangelicals. Further, she has consulted with or shared her financial expertise as CEO of The Pegues Group, Inc. with numerous other nonprofit organizations and mega churches.

Respected community leaders have praised her for her excellence, forthrightness, and integrity. She and her husband, Darnell Pegues, have been happily married for over 41 years. They reside in Southern California and have many spiritual children.
